As a child, Ellis spent countless hours exploring old country dumps, searching for forgotten treasures—especially antique bottles, advertising memorabilia, and pieces of local history. One quote has always resonated with him:

Along the way, he built extensive knowledge of antiques, collectibles, jewelry, coins, advertising memorabilia, furniture, and household contents.

His wife often jokes that Ellis can tell you the detailed history of a piece of furniture or antique advertising sign, yet somehow can never find his keys or cell phone. The truth is, he's a treasure hunter at heart. He genuinely loves learning about old things and understanding what makes them valuable.
